About CCPAC

CCPAC is a nonprofit organization that seeks to
raise the professional standards of individuals who specialize in the administration
and negotiation of freight claims. Specifically, it seeks to give recognition
to those who have acquired the necessary degree of experience, education,
and expertise in domestic and international freight claims to warrant acknowledgment
of their professional stature.

CCPAC members subscribe to the “Certified Claims Professional Accreditation
Council Code of Professional Responsibility.”

WHY JOIN CCPAC?

Becoming a certified member of CCPAC is an asset in addition to becoming
certified through the CCPAC exam. You need not be certified to enjoy
the benefits of of membership. We suggest the following reasons to support
membership in CCPAC:

  • As an additional indication to your peers of your commitment to high
    professional standards;
  • As an opportunity, as a voting member, to help influence CCPAC policies
    and programs;
  • As an opportunity to participate actively on CCPAC committees and in
    chapter activities;
  • Because membership entitles you to the Proclaim newsletter
    and all notifications of accredited courses and educational materials;
  • As an associate member, to participate on committees and in all other
    CCPAC activities and to receive the same benefits as certified members,
    except the right to vote;
  • As an associate member, to take a step toward preparing yourself to
    take the certification exam.;
  • As an opportunity to help strengthen the financial capacity of CCPAC
    to sustain its programs;
  • To receive a tax-deductible benefit from your dues payment as well
    as for any other contributions;

CCPAC accepts card sized advertisements in Proclaim,
provided the content is pertinent to the purpose of the publication. The
cost is $25.00 per issue or $75.00 for four issues. CCPAC will set
the copy, but text and art or graphics must be furnished.

About Proclaim

The purpose of this newsletter is to provide a forum for reporting activities
and events and for publishing articles pertaining to CCPAC, its members,
and chapters, as well as to all freight claims professionals and their
interests. Educational credits are given for original articles submitted
and selected for publication. Proclaim will also publish press releases
or excerpts from other publications of interest to claims professionals.
Notices of accredited courses, conferences, publications, employment opportunities
or from those seeking employment will be accepted on the approval of the
editors.
